About Jennifer Nelson
At 16 years old, Jennifer was told she may never have children due to severe endometriosis. In 2006, she was introduced to St. Gianna by a mentor and began praying for her intercession. In 2007, Jennifer and her husband welcomed their first baby girl, Gianna. She now has 7 children here and 5 that were born into eternal life.
Jennifer felt called to study her Catholic faith in depth at the Immaculate Conception Seminary School of Theology at Seton Hall University. This is when she was introduced to Saint Gianna, and her devotion to this wonderful saint grew. She graduated in 2008 with a Master's Degree in Systematic Theology. On her graduation day, she held her baby, Gianna in her arms, and her son, Gabriel in her womb, all thanks to Jesus, the support of her husband, and the prayers of Saint Gianna Molla. She loves teaching about the Eucharist, the saints, the Rosary, and the Divine Mercy Devotion.
Jennifer has three published books, all which seek to promote marriage and the pro-life movement. Super J and the Power of Love was published in 2023 by Deo Gratias Co. and is about a little boy with Down Syndrome who changes the world through the power of love. Her second work, Water into Wine: A Novena for Married Couples was published by Just 1 Soul Books and Media, LLC in 2025. The True Story of Brendan Kelly will be published in 2026 and is about a little boy with Down Syndrome who met Pope John Paul II and who learned how to offer his sufferings as a prayer for others.
Jennifer is so thankful to God for the gift of this ministry and community. She truly feels that her ministry team, board and friendships she has made through this work are one of God's greatest blessings in her life. She wants to remind those who read this to continue to pray for the ministry team, their families and all who serve in any capacity for this ministry through their gift of time, talent and treasure. She also asks prayers for her husband, Derek, who is her biggest cheerleader and support in her work for the Church.
Impact of The Sisterhood of the Sisterhood of the Traveling Relics of St. Gianna
St. Gianna helped Jennifer deepen her faith in Jesus and the intercession of our saintly friends praying with and for us from heaven. St. Gianna also brought her daughter to Jennifer help start this ministry, which has been a blessing to not only to Jennifer, but also to her family and friends.
The prayers of this community have proven to Jennifer that where two or three are gathered, Christ is in their midst. Each member of the team has become Jennifer's true sister-in-Christ and she will be forever blessed by their love, service, and prayers.
