Born and raised in Nigeria, Mary now calls Canada home. She is a wife, mother to her beautiful daughter, Gianna, and a physician by profession. A cradle Catholic, her faith is woven into her daily life and continues to guide her vocation as a wife, mother, and caregiver.
When she is not caring for patients, Mary enjoys spending time in the kitchen cooking or baking something new and cherishing sweet moments with family and friends.
Mary first began praying for Saint Gianna’s intercession after discovering the Sisterhood of the Traveling Relics. The timing felt providential, as God brought Saint Gianna into her life as both a model physician and mother during a season when those were the very roles Mary was praying about most.As a physician in residency training and mother to her little Gianna,
Mary continues to turn to Saint Gianna for help and encouragement. Having experienced her intercession throughout this journey, Mary trusts that Saint Gianna will continue to guide her as both a doctor and a mother.
